I can't believe it but Long Way Home is finally out in the world. I am thrilled because the two people the book is primarily about--Jovan Mosley and Catharine O'Daniel--are some of my most favorite people, who both deserve to have their stories and their amazing spirit trumpeted to the world. Jovan (despite the nearly 6 years he spent in a Cook County holding cell for a murder he didn't commit) is amazing. He and his wife Andrea just celebrated their first anniversary and he is looking forward to finishing his degree at Loyola University Chicago so he can attend law school. Cathy, meanwhile, continues to excel in Chicago's criminal defense world while enjoying Eddie, her husband, and their two kids. Jovan and Cathy will be at some of the book signings listed under appearances. I'd love to have you come out and meet them. I hope Long Way Home, the story of their journey, reads like a thriller, but shines a light on the tough road faced by all in the criminal justice world. I'd also love to hear what you think. And if you'd like me to pass along any messages to Cathy or Jovan, just let me know.
